As I was struggling with my own communication due to severe illness I painted these portraits of Animals and peoples whose voices are not being heard. I wanted to give them a voice in the hope that people would stand up and take action to support them and the environment in which we all live. At the end of 2016 I was invited to exhibit them and staged an exhibition entitled ‘From the Heart of the World’. The emphasis for me was to open people’s hearts to the lives and struggles of those without a voice. In addition I wanted to use the exhibition as a vehicle to draw attention to the amazing work carried out by so many great charities around the world. These charities need our support through funding and so I have linked them to this site in the hope that my work inspires people to support them in some way.
